We offer a professional consignment program that let’s you take advantage of our high traffic dealership location and our years of RV sales experience to sell your vehicle. For many RV owners, selling this way is the safe, convenient alternative to doing it themselves. To avoid the confusion that many people have about consignment sales, we explain below in plain English what you can expect from us and what we expect from you if you decide to consign your vehicle. What you can expect from X-RV: Lots of exposure for your RV. Our high traffic, corner lot location guarantees people will see your vehicle. We also include your RV in our inventory on our website, goxrv.com, and in various RV advertising directories that generate calls from buyers throughout the region. Professional sales team. Our company is new, but our managers have almost 30 years of combined RV sales and finance experience. We know how to price, sell and finance RVs. Every customer and every transaction is important to us. We love trade-ins! Many potential customers have a vehicle they want to trade. As a private owner you probably don’t want to hear about trade-ins, but they are a big part of the RV business. We welcome and encourage them. Financing is available. We offer convenient, on site, major bank financing to our customers at competitive rates. Advice and assistance. We can help you determine a realistic price for your vehicle, and advise you on repair or reconditioning issues. Any funds collected from potential buyers for your vehicle, either earnest money deposits or full or partial payments are to be deposited in a special escrow account. The State of Washington requires us to maintain this account for the protection of consumers. A simple fee structure. At X-RV we keep it simple. You usually receive a net dollar amount for your vehicle when it sells. For some higher priced vehicles it sometimes makes sense to use a percentage of the selling price. We’d be glad to explain the pros and cons of both options. What X-RV expects from you: Complete information about your vehicle and its history. We want to know all the features and benefits of your RV so we can aggressively sell it. At the same time we have an obligation to disclose any known defects to potential customers and account for them. The exclusive right to sell your vehicle during the consignment period. We appreciate your referrals and any other help you can provide, but during the consignment period (usually 90 days) we will still be paid a fee no matter who sells the vehicle. If a buyer we introduced to your vehicle decides to buy it directly from you within six months of the expiration of our agreement, our fee is still payable. We will carefully document any valid prospects for your vehicle during the period of the agreement. We need a photo copy of the title to your vehicle. If there is a lien holder, we need pay-off information and your written permission to get up to date pay-off information from your lender. When we sell your vehicle we have to convey the title to the buyer immediately, so it’s important that we have these details arranged in advance. You are still responsible for insuring your vehicle! X-RV cannot be responsible for loss or damage to your vehicle or its contents. We do our best to protect and secure our facility, but problems can still occur. If you are consigning a motor home, for your protection we do require a copy of the driver’s license and proof of insurance for any customers who test drive a vehicle. No one will ever be allowed on an unescorted test drive, and we reserve the right to refuse a test drive to anyone. We need a reliable way to contact you if a sale is pending on your vehicle. In spite of all of our preparations, potential buyers might have last minute questions. If you have any questions about the consignment program, please feel free to ask an X-RV manager for help. The final page of this document is where we will note the agreed to selling price and any other conditions or additions to the agreement.
